Urban development

I studied International Cooperation and Urban Development at TU Darmstadt from 2014-2016 and after graduation got a chance to work as an Urban analyst in an international urban consulting company. It was a valuable practical experience of bringing city development initiatives to realization, placemaking practices, collaboration with the city’s stakeholders, research, and benchmarking.

Here are some of the projects in this field.

2021

While working in WPIARC Plan GmbH during the pandemic, we started trying different projects and new forms of collaboration.

Expo Park in Hannover is an experimental project organized with students of the Moscow Architectural Institute on the redevelopment of the territory.

2017

When working in urban consulting, I was honored to work at the final stage of the multi-functional 10 ha public park in the city center designed by the consortium of DSR, Hargreaves Associates, and Citymakers International. The park opened in 2017 and got MIPIM and other international awards.

One of the core strengths of Citymakers, where I worked, is the socio-cultural programming aimed to improve, promote, and develop public spaces. The core step of every project is solid research.

After being part of the research group on best world public parks, I’ve published an article on linear parks: “From Paris to Seoul”

As part of the city’s urban development and an extension of the new park, the reconstruction of an 18th-century historical complex aimed to convert it into a multi-functional apart-hotels area with public spaces and entertainment. While working in Citymakers team, I focused on the research and benchmarking for this project.
